Mod Menu Extension ================== by Wormbo (wormbo@onlinehome.de) Homepage: http://www.koehler-homepage.de/wormbo/ Description ----------- The mod menu can become quite big when you have installed many mods. Sometimes it gets too large to fit on the screen. The Mod Menu Extension ensures that every mod is visible by creating submenus when the list gets larger than the available space for displaying. Some players also have problems with the Payer Setup window not showing all of the installed models. The Mod Menu Extension comes with a fix for this problem. Installation ------------ Just run the UMOD file and follow the instructions. In case you didn't choose to activate the Mod Menu Extension from the setup options or there was no option for your menu system (e.g. Tactical Ops) you can manually activate the Mod Menu Extension either from the Mod menu or by editing the corresponding INI file: Find the line beginning with ModMenuClass=... in the INI file of the mod and change it to ModMenuClass=ModMenuExtensions.EWindowModMenu For UT this line can be found in the [UMenu.UMenuMenuBar] section of UnrealTournament.ini, for OldSkool Amp'd it's the [olroot.oldskoolmenubar] section in OldSkool.ini. For other menu systems the section name will most probably also contain "menubar". The Mod Menu Extension will most likely work with the menu system when the ModMenuClass was set to UMenu.UMenuModMenu before you changed it. Configuration ------------- When you open the new mod you might notice several special menu items. - Configure Mod Menu Here you can find some options to configure the mod menu. - Preload Mods Click on this item to toggle preloading of mods. Preloading is done only the first time you open the mod menu after you started UT. The menu will attempt to load all items, which may take some time, especially when there are many menu items. Each item has the opportunity to set up its display. (like setting a special display name or creating a submenu) - Reverse Sorting Order By default the mods are sorted alphabetically A-Z. This option allows you to change the sorting order to Z-A. - Move Weapon Priority This option is only available when the Advanced Weapon Priority window is installed. It moves the Weapon Priority menu item from the Mod menu to the Options menu where it replaces the original Weapon Priority menu item. - Update Player Selection Window This option replaces the Player Setup window with a version which can display up to 500 player classes and up to 100 voice classes instead of the 64 player and voice classes of the default Player Setup window. - Disable Mod Menu Extension Use this option if you want to disable the Mod Menu Extension e.g. for testing or when you want to uninstall it. Disabling the Mod Menu Extension also turn off the updated Player Setup window and moves the Weapon Priority window back to the Mod menu. - GUI Skin Settings This item only appears when you use a compatible GUI skin. Currently the only skin supporting this is Unreal XP. - Weapon Priority This item only appears when the Advanced Weapon Priority window is installed and not moved to the Options menu. Advanced Weapon Priority is included in e.g. Rockets UT, but can also be downloaded seperately. - More Mods Tis item only appears if there are more mods installed than items fit on the screen. When pointing at this item a submenu with the remaining mods opens. If the remaining mods still don't fit in the submenu another More Mods item is available in the submenu. Removing Mod Menu Extensions ---------------------------- In case you should ever want to remove the Mod Menu Extensions you need to select Mods -> Configure Mod Menu -> Disable Mod Menu Extension or your original mod menu will not show up after the Mod Menu Extension files have been deleted. Feel free to mail me if you have any questions about the Mod Menu Extension or any of my other mods.
