Description

This package contains the mutator SBMutFixTeleportersURL for Unreal Tournament (UT99).

What it does

This mutator runs once after a map is loaded and checks all Teleporters for an URL that points to another level (technically: the URL contains ":" or "#"). If such a teleporter is found, it will be disabled.
Travalling teleporters are found in MH-FissionSmelter, MH-NP04Hyperion, MH-DKdark, MH-Decks.

Optionally a MonsterEnd is spawned at that location with a CollisionCylinder of same size as the teleporter.

Installation

Client and Server

Put the files


 .\System\SBMutFixTeleportersURL-V1.int

 .\System\SBMutFixTeleportersURL-V1.u

 .\System\SBMutFixTeleportersURL.ini

into the System directory of your UT installation. Change the values in SBMutFixTeleportersURL.ini to your needs. Documentation can be found in there.

additionally for Server

The file .\redirect\SBMutFixTeleportersURL-V1.u.uz goes to the server where your download redirection points to.
Clients do not need this mutator, so no entry in "ServerPackages" is needed.

Usage

Client

Start UT and and choose the mutator Fix teleporters with travelling URL, Version 1 (SB) for a local game.

Server

Generic instruction only: Add SBMutFixTeleportersURL-V1.SBMutFixTeleportersURL to the list of mutators. Details depends on server configuration and addons.

Because some editions of MonsterHunt do a "static" replacement of MonsterEnd's in their PostBeginPlay() code, later added MonsterEnds are not replaced. So I moved the fixing code to PreBeginPlay() of this mutator.
added condition "InStr(T.URL, ":") >= 0" for detecting travelling URLs
added hack to prevent a spawned MonsterEnd from the CheckReplacement chain
